The Chess Federation of Sri Lanka under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation (ACF) and the World Chess Federation (FIDE), has invited the Malaysian Chess Federation to participate in the 14th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2018 to be organized in Kaluthara, Sri Lanka from 7th July (arrival) to 15th July (departure) 2018.
This is an official FIDE event and the Malaysian Chess Federation is honoured to invite all eligible players in the respective age-group to participate in the event.
The Champions of National Youth Championships 2018 from each category shall qualify themselves to become the official players representing the country in the competition.
As official representatives, the players shall entitle of full accommodation and lodging during the event (subject to the regulation by the Organizers). The official players, however, shall responsible for all travelling expenses and other expenses which may incur before, during and after the event.
All players shall eligible to play at the 2018 Asian Youth Chess Championships as an additional player. The second to the fourth place winners (only) at the 2018 National Youth Championships may be accepted to replace the spot of official player accordingly if the Champion is not participating in the event.
The additional players shall responsible for they own accommodations and hotel expenses, travelling cost, and all other expenses which may incur before, during and after the event.
This is an odd age-groups event, shall more than one winner from the National Youth Championships fall into the same group, the Selection Committee may decide which one of the players will qualify for the official spot base on the FIDE rating May 2018 release. The decision by the committee is final.
All applications and documents must be sent by emails to the Selection Committee and addressed to firstname.lastname@example.org and a copy (cc) to email@example.com not later than 20th May 2018.
After approval by Selection Committee, the player shall furnish a proof of payment of the registration fee (see regulations) plus RM100 for a processing fee (non-refundable) not later than 22nd May 2018.
A penalty fee will be charged for late entries as specified in the regulations. Any payment shall be made to Persekutuan Catur Malaysia, CIMB current account 8000-64-9725.

The Malaysian Chess Federation reserves the right to change this guideline without prior notice and any dispute shall be referred to the Selection Committee for a final decision.
