Chess Olympics Selection Training Program

The Malaysian Chess Federation will be accepting write-in requests for participation in the Chess Olympics Team Selection Training starting now.

This Selection Training shall be the criteria to which the Malaysian Chess Federation forms ‘TEAM MALAYSIA’ for the Men and Women categories in the World Chess Olympiad 2018 in Batumi, Georgia.

Details of the Chess Olympics Team Selection Training are as follows:

Date:
5th to 7th July 2018
Time:
8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Selection:
MCF forms TEAM MALAYSIA (5 men & 5 women) based on performance in MCC 18’ & training report by MCF appointed Trainer.
Attendance to selection training is compulsory to all candidates invited by virtue of Top 3 placing in MCC 18’. A show-cause letter has to be submitted to MCF at selection@malaysiachess.com if unable to attend.

The session will be centered on Olympiad Team Building, Psychology, Fitness and Endurance.

A follow-up email will be sent to you upon sorting of the write-in applicants by MCF detailing the training fees. Guidelines for training fees are as below:

  1. MCC 2018 Champion
  2. MCC 2018 1st & 2nd Runner-Up
  3. MCF Invited Players (2 Entries)
  4. Successful Write-In Candidates (5 Entries)
  5. Open to all (Max 10 Entries)

Successful write-in candidates are subject to training fee of RM 290. Spots open to all shall incur a fee of RM 490.

Please write-in expressing your interest not later than 6:00 p.m. on 4th July 2018 to MCF Selection Committee.
