Underground cable fault causes power outage at OCM today

The National Youth and Junior U-20 Chess Championships which held in Tan Sri Hamzah Arena was delayed few hours after Wisma OCM were left without power for around three hours this morning due the problem in the underground cable.

TNB source said to the OCM that one of its main underground cable was accidently cut by a contractor working in the area of Stadium Negara this morning. National Youth and Junior U-20 Chess Championships first round scheduled at 10:00 AM was postponed to 2:00 PM and the Organiser has reduced the 8 rounds event to 7 rounds.

The whole grid areas was effected, including Wisma OCM, Stadium Negara, schools and other buildings. The power restored around 12:15 PM.
